  • Meta commentary about fan groups, other platforms and other generalizing comments are best saved for other outlets and may be removed (ex: 'Howie fans stay pressed', 'You guys always whine about twist X you should be happy')

  • Please do not post general questions, requests for links/feeds etc here.

  • Use !BBT to create a timestamp for your fellow redditors to flashback to. Add a description to help explain what they will see (ex: !BBT HG playing spin the bottle in the living room)

Because the feeds are so boring, figured I'd look to the past and see where our current HGs compare stats wise with their peers and if any could possibly meet or break any records.

  • Adam is 2 HOHs away from tying Demetres, who holds the all time record with 5. Adam is only 1 comp win away from tying both Demetres and Kevin (BBC5) with the all time record with 7. Adam is also only 1 veto away from tying Nick/Phil and Kevin for the all time record with 4. I'd say its pretty likely Adam ties or even holds the record for most comp wins and vetos by season's end. The HOH title will be tougher to get. Percentage-wise, Adam currently holds the record at winning 60% of his comps played in, ahead of the current recordholder, Erica, who was at 50%. Adam is in a pretty good spot here and can afford to lose a comp and still hold the record. Another comp win or two and it is extremely likely he'll hold the record.

  • It is still possible for Anthony, Damien, Este and Kyra to tie Paras and Godfrey for the record for most HOH comps played in at 13, although to pull it off they'd have to lose F6 and F5 HOH. Anthony is probably the only one who may attain this, as the other 3 will almost certainly not make F3.

  • If Kyra makes it to F4 and plays in each of the Vetos, Kyra will tie Sarah and Ika (BBC5) for the most Veto comps played in with 9.

  • Kyra still has a shot at being the biggest comp flop of all time, if they stay in through F3, play in every single comp, and lose them all. That would put Kyra at 0 for 22, which would edge Ika (BBC5), who was 0 for 21. Este could tie Ika if she stays to F3 and likewise plays in and loses every single comp the rest of the way.

  • In terms of most noms, Damien is currently in front for this season with 4, and would need 2 more to tie the all time record of 6 held by Sabrina.

  • Anthony is currently the only player who has not been nominated. Its highly doubtful he makes it to the end without going up, if so he'd tie Jillian as the only player to accomplish that feat. As of now, Anthony has tied Paras for the record for most possible noms escaped without an HOH win, with 25 (although to be fair, he has been able to rely on many HOHs from his allies). He needs to make it through 5 more possible noms without going up to tie Jon for the record of most possible noms before going up for the first time. We're currently through 9 rounds without him going up, he'll need to make it 3 more to tie Jon for the most rounds before going up, something I'd say is pretty unlikely at this point.

  • Biggest pawn this season has been Kyra and Damien, each surviving the eviction vote 3 times. They are still 2 away from Sabrina, who holds the all time record with 5.

  • Laura's 11 eviction votes ties her for fourth all time with 6 other players for most eviction votes received in a single season. No one will be able to top that the rest of the season.

  • Record for most perfect voting record ever is 11 for 11, shared by Jon and Paras, looks pretty unlikely that this can be met this season. Dane is currently 7 for 7, but assuming he votes to keep Este and Adam evicts her, he won't have the perfect record anymore. Mark is 6 for 6 but with him being nom'd this round the best he can do is 10 for 10, which would also require winning final HOH.

What do you guys want for season 21? I’m hoping for 1 more all newbies season before potential all stars. BB20 worked so well because of this format and I really hope we see it again. Also, I wouldn’t hate 18 contestants cause then we can get one more double eviction!

The hubby and I have had a lot of time together at home now that we both work from home, so he's gotten me to start watching this show. He's really into reality competition shows like this and I'm usually not really into them. So I didn't have the highest of expectation when we started, but after getting a few eliminations into season 20 I realized that I'd really underestimated how interesting it is. I kinda just saw it as a brainless, campy time waster, and yeah it was like that sometimes, but a lot of the strategy and social aspects really sucked me in. I got really attached to Level 6 and the back and forth between them and the other alliances that formed over the season was just really fun to watch.

We just finished watching season 2 next and we're planning on at least trying to get through season 3 through 7 since they're his personal favorites. Going from the most recent season to the first season to use this same general format was pretty interesting, too. I do think the lack of power ups and stuff was actually kinda nice. I really didn't like the hacker power or the idea of eliminated players winning re entry in season 20, although I didn't really mind the power apps that much, probably because they ended up all being useless. I went into season 2 knowing Will was the winner, but even still I spent the whole time feeling like he was going to be eliminated. I really don't know how he pulled that off especially in a season without things like vetos or special powers, but it was a lot of fun to watch him navigate through the competition being the biggest target and still going all the way regardless.

Also props to Julie Chen for hosting this show for so long. I thought she was kinda stiff and awkward, but over time it became kind of charming and I think her professional presentation clashes with the often casual attitudes and ways of speaking the houseguests have in a way that's a little humorous.

I was wondering if there's any seasons that I should definitely check out besides 2-7 and 20? I'm not sure if I'm gonna end up watching all 20 seasons, but hey, I might. I know my husband thinks season 10, 12, and 14 are good but isn't as big of a fan of the others. I also know that there's a spinoff season called Over the Top and a few Canadian seasons (I see that one is going on right now judging by this subreddit, actually). Are those any good? Also, is there any information on when/if season 21 is going to happen? I know it's usually around the Summer, but is there usually a month that it starts in or anything like that?
