Definitions of insanity:

  • watching the Edmonton Oilers attempting to defend a lead in the 3rd period

  • watching Hitch play Russell in OT and expecting something good to come from it

On second thought...

  • watching the Edmonton Oilers

To the boys credit, both games were afternoon games and we all know we have a shitty record in those games. Possible 2/4 points is better than 0. But that’s 5 straight games lost we need to go on a run starting Tuesday night.

Didn't catch the game but caught the recap and the thread here. From the comments it sure seems like it was a dumpster fire but I thought the boys looked good. Tell me why i'm wrong.

The fact that we are still only 3 points out of a playoff spot blows my mind.

If we accidentally start winning that'd be great.

Anyone impressed by Lucic's game? I didn't catch the 1st, but he was making some good zone entrys. Even got a good pass to Rattie for a breakway.

Everyone ease up. If we would have lost against Philly and won against Montreal the mood would be much different. Yet we still got 2/4 points. Klefbom back and 30 games left while being 3 points out. This aint over yet!

How long until this team becomes a true playoff contender? It's true that we may be able to squeeze into the playoffs this season by nothing less than some miraculous act of god. And if our entire team is healthy we are at best an average team, but how often can we rely on nobody being injured? And even if we do make it into the playoffs we have to honest with ourselves and realize that we simply cannot compete with top teams.

How bout that McDavid...

Woke up in Fort Worth Texas this morning. Wish I could catch the Oilers vs Stars game but it’s in YEG on March 28th. I’ll take the 27 degrees out today instead:]
