How high can you count ? because I can count up to infinite (or potatoes)
1 2 3 4
It works but... From wikipedia...
With typical bet ranging and typical Las Vegas six-deck rules, a player whose strategy yields an average profit of $50 per hour will likely face a standard deviation in the neighborhood of $1,400 per hour. Therefore, it is highly advisable for counters to set aside a large dedicated bankroll; one popular rule of thumb dictates a bankroll of 100 times the maximum bet per hand
Card counting works, but just barely. If you make a mistake (It's very boring and the mind wanders) then the odds swing back to the house.
Card-counting isn't really a profession. Gambling would be the profession, or specifically blackjack. You need to know other things, such as sound blackjack theory, to be successful.
Being a professional card counter would be akin to being a professional hammer-er. It's something you do in your job as a carpenter.
I know some people who do this for a living. I doublt they'd do an AMA.
