This is my first time doing this Reddit thing. But Ive been thinking about bhoot all week and finally googled the question. I woke up in the middle of the night wondering if there was a second albino turns out it was his brother. Crazy stuff. Maybe I'm a little late to add a comment but I'll try

Just realized the voice actor for Bhoot was Andy Serkis' son. Andy literally killed his son's character and revealed it in a super fucked up way. :( #JusticeForBhoot

Easily one of the worst movies I have seen

The book iirc anthropomorphize the animals as well, but I don't know if this is the best way to do it or not.

level 1

Oh, my bad. I believe it’s on the shoulder opposite from where the tiger claw mark ends up. It’s present throughout the whole movie and looks like a healed over bite, looks like a light brown circle.

level 1

Loved it I'm always a sucker for the Jungle Book and this is a great addition. It was darker than what some people might expect (especially one scene) and the ending act feels a bit rushed but it's still a must watch movie in my opinion.

Cate blanchett voice in the opening really reminds me of LOTR opening (well, this movie was directed by andy serkis afterall)

am I the only person not happy with the accents? they are wild animals IN India, native to India. yet for some reason they all have various british or scottish sounding accents. it doesn't make sense and it takes away from the story, for me.

Indians speak British English. They're not all going to sound like Dopinder from Deadpool.

level 2

Mowgli should have talked to the hunter, they both spoke english.

level 2

I know this is probably ridiculous but I just attributed this to the fact Rudyard Kipling as being English. Just imagine a parent reading the book to a kid back in the day and putting on different voices for each animal. I even think it'd work with a New Jersey accent or Boston assuming they were all American if you get me?

I don't think that'll save the movie for you but I like to think it would.

level 1

I absolutely loved this movie, me and my son sat down to watch(5yrsold). I sent him to his room around the scene with the monkey people. It was getting so realistic that the roars were scaring him

I think the voice acting was the best ive seen in a long long time. Especially the tiger, i was getting goosebumps, then when he said "YOU, poisoned the jungle) i was floored

Oscar worthy voice overs

level 2

Haha! I'm sorry to laugh here but were you so into it that you couldn't just turn it off and watch it later?

level 3

Oh no way, it was too intense too stop, this is the best movie I have seen in a long time

level 4

Yeah I’m so happy I watched it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

level 1

When Bagheera targeted Mowgli in the trial/test hunt initiation thingy I was so pissed. Then he left him in the cage and I felt just as betrayed as Mowgli was. But after the movie I thought on it and something came to my mind that Bagheera said when him and Baloo were fighting: "it was the only way!" Or was it "he had to fail!" Bagheera knew in order for Mowgli to be the savior of the jungle he had to learn the ways and tools of man. Bagheera just had the awful job of doing what needed to be done.

level 2

These kinds of characters only become heroes in hindsight. Like Wesley in Angel.

level 1

Granted I wasn't excited seeing the weird anatomy / front facing eyes on the animals. But the rendering / animation looked good! Like real good, despite the weird human-like gestures and again those eyes.. Still, I gave it a shot. It was dark, and violent! I managed to watch it but by the end I got bored. The scene in the menagerie was seriously grim. Fucked up in a sad way.

The whole story with Bhoot was beyond disturbing and has stuck with me for days. I think it was so unnecessary to kill a sweet, optimistic character like that.

level 2

Yea I 100% agree. It was unncessary for Mowgli to develope. I still felt after finishing tthe movie , a dark dread sad feeling. The ending couldn't make up for that. That's because Bhoot never got justice for being so innnocent. His only": friend" is a stupid mean kid who called him freak and betrayed him. Too late to make it right after we find out what happened. I was hoping that wasn't really Bhoot but dang.. Bhoot never had anything good happen to him. HIs parents didn't care too much. Just wtf.

level 3

My feelings exactly

level 2

i cried.. the last thing he heard before he died was that he was a freak by his best and only friend and then he just dies... im so mad that they would make a character like that my heart is broken...

level 3

I fuckin hate Andy serkis for this, that wolf pup died for nothing, I still can't get over it
