Reem spent the whole episode trying to keep everyone dry. Then the moment she gets voted off she wishes it rain on everyone.

Honestly, I feel for Reem. She just tried to help people but they ended up stabbing her in the back

I don't feel for her. It takes a certain amount of arrogance to just up and decide to do things your way in a group of 9 people. She clearly viewed her own way of doing things as more important than the way her tribe mates were doing them. Instead of taking what they said in stride and admitting her mistakes she doubled down on them, got defensive, rude and a tad condescending. Reem acted like a mother to a bunch of adults and then acted like a child when she got called out for it. She was literally mad going into tribal, she burnt whatever pity she could have earned up. Even if no other contestant decides to go the Edge of Extinction she will never win the game.

She tried, and she failed. You can have great intentions, but if your execution sucks, be humble. When she failed, she just stayed angry at everyone. She begged for an explanation, and she hated everyone more for it. There's a point where you need to back down, and she didn't. Jeff even called her confrontational to her face.

So, yeah, it sucks her dream ended like that. But if you don't know how to act properly after watching every episode since day one, then maybe you deserve to be voted out.

Some people watch the show. Others pay attention.

Seriously, people were complaining and she got defensive. Her best play would be to say "I am sorry that I was like that, I didn't realize how annoying I was being. I will change, and I am an asset at challenges. Lets vote out someone that can't swim."

Lets vote out someone that can't swim."

And this, to me, is Survivor. If you're targeted, you can't just defend yourself. You have to get people to move their target. And we didn't see her do that. At least, in her times of trying to, she did it extremely poorly.

And Wentworth was giving her a masterclass right in her face: "'Targeting a legend'? Why me!? David's right there!"

I was surprised at how much of a n00b Reem came across as. She acted surprised that ageism was taking place--does she realize she's on Survivor and that the middle aged lady is automatically a target?

She was just a haircut away from asking to speak to the Survivor manager.

And David followed up with another great lesson. Your name gets thrown to the wall once?

Also, they’ve got to vote out someone for some reason. They can’t just tell Jeff “actually we all get along, we’re not going to write any names today.” So some minor annoying crap is as good of a reason to vote out someone as any other petty excuse. It’s not like they really know each other yet.

level 4

It’s crazy because the votes ended up all over the place. It could have easily gone another way if she humbly admitted she could have had more tact the way she did things, but she got very defensive and it put people off (in fairness, I guess many of us would get the same way, since she was trying to help... she just went about it the wrong way).

Seriously, after 19 years, you should know that knowing how to swim might come in handy on Survivor.

He did say he went out and tried to learn how to swim, just didn't have much success I guess? lol

If you don't learn to swim when you're very young, it'll just never be a natural thing for you. It's like speaking a foreign language, you can learn it, but you'll never be the same as a native speaker.
